How does it work?
It looks like a credit card, but it works like a check. Instead of writing a check, fumbling for your identification and waiting for approval, simply present your Visa Debit Card as you would a credit card. The purchase amount is deducted directly from your checking account and recorded on your monthly statement.

You can use the First Citizens Bank Visa® Debit Card to get cash from any ATM displaying the MoneyPass, Visa, Star, Plus, NYCE or MasterCard trademark, or to make purchases with merchants worldwide who accept Visa. No more hassles with writing out of town checks when traveling. We are part of the Moneypass network which provides surcharge-free access to over 17,000 ATMs nationwide.

How do I get a First Citizens Bank Visa® Debit Card?
You must have a First Citizens Bank checking account to enjoy the convenience of our Visa® Debit Cards. If you currently have a checking account with us, simply call one of our personal bankers to order a card.
